Start-up period (1964 - 1969): Established during the period of rapid economic growth

  • 1964

    Yasutoyo Fusejima (currently Honorary Chairman) established the Company in Kandatsukasamachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
    Developed and launched automatic film coating devices: testing machine “Model FM-2” and production machine “Model FM-5.”
    Developed and launched film coating solutions “FC-101” and “EC-101” for pharmaceuticals.

    Started export of machinery to the US.

    Jointly developed direct tableting vehicle “SmartEx” for orally disintegrating tablets with Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.
    Received the 13th NAKAI Award from the Japan Society of Pharmaceutical Machinery and Engineering with “containment technology.”

    Received the “Food Industry Heisei Contribution Award” for the Food Preservatives Division.
    Received the Technology Award (Kawashima Yoshiaki Award) from the Symposium on Particulate Design and Preparations: Development of direct tableting mannitol “Granutol.”
    Established joint venture company Parle FREUND Machinery Private Limited (India).
