    Application

    Adsolider™ is a fine powder of silicon dioxide manufactured from high-purity silica sand as its raw material by the liquid phase method. It features greater porosity and has a larger internal specific surface area compared to products manufactured by the vapor phase method.

FEATURE

    • Excellent fluidity improvement effect
      In many formulations, addition of 0.1 to 0.5% Adsolider™ is effective in improving fluidity.
      The optimum additive amount differs depending on formulations of powder and granular materials.
    • Increased tablet hardness due to addition
      By adding Adsolider™, the hardness of tablets increases by 5 to 15% without losing disintegrability.
    • Suitable for powderization of liquids
      To convert a liquid drug into a powder (solid), add 0.5 to 2 times the amount of Adsolider to the drug solution and mix.
    • Contribution to the stability of drugs
      The pH of Adsolidor™-101 is near neutral as 6.0-8.0, so it has only a little effect on the stability of acid-sensitive drugs.
